The Univ. Southampton was sold an inverted Earth crust globe model file in .stl format in 2010.
The Spiky Globes were created using photopolymer to make the master globes. That step cost the founder from $2400 to $6000 per globe. The casting equipment cost $37,000 and the globes were sold for as little as $450. Globes were given away to the California School for the Blind and to the National Federation of the Blind. Also, Mars Globes were given away to NASA and JPL. Globes were sold to the University of New South Wales and to the public school system in Canada.
